The Art Festival is currently seeking artists in various disciplines.
Each August, the KahBang Art Festival invites dozens of artists to exhibit in galleries, artist showcases, and the ‘Arts District’, which takes place in conjunction with the KAHBANG Music|Art|Film Festival in Bangor, Maine.

KahBang Film Festival 2014
The KahBang Film Festival is a discovery festival for independent cinema, dedicated to showcasing emerging films and filmmakers and exposing them to new audiences. Submissions for KFF2014 are open until April 31st.
KahBang Music Festival 2014
The KahBang Festival is an annual discovery festival; showcasing emerging talents in music | art | film. It celebrates pop-culture and current trends. We seek to Discovery the Next big thing is music. Come open minded; Leave with a new favorite band.

Maine Arts Commission Grant Opportunity
This program of the Maine Arts Commission supports Maine’s artists and arts organizations by providing the means with which to increase the visibility of specific artistic projects. An application that supports an individual artist or organization through increased visibility of specific artistic projects is eligible for the grant.
Deadline: June 21, 2014
Maximum grant award: $1,500 (Organizations must show an in-kind and/or cash match)
Project must take place between September 11, 2014 and September 10, 2015, 2014
Funding will be available after September 11, 20
The Good Idea Grant program of Maine Arts Commission fosters the growth of Maine’s artists by supporting the creation of new work or professional development. Any “good idea” that furthers an individual artist’s creative growth is eligible for the grant. A public component is required. All other Good Idea Grant eligibility and application process requirements apply.
Deadline: February 21, 2014
Maximum grant amount: $1,500
Project must take place between: May 9, 2014 and May 8, 2015
Funding will be made available after: May 9, 2014
Individual Artist Fellowships
The Individual Artist Fellowships reward artistic excellence, advance the careers of Maine artists and promote public awareness regarding the eminence of the creative sector in Maine. The Maine Arts Commission offers five fellowships annually in functional craft, literature, visual arts, performing/media arts and traditional arts.
Deadline: May 2, 2014 for all genre
Grant amount: $5,000
