Meg Shorette oversees all KAHBANG Arts programs including its educational workshops and artist support initiatives. She is also responsible for expanding the organizations overall recognition, initiating strategic partnerships, cultivating relationships with artists, foundations and corporate sponsors and growing the organizations annual operating budget. As of 2013, Shorette also took the three year old KAHBANG Film Festival under the nonprofits wing and currently serves as Festival Director. In addition, she currently programs all Central Gallery events & artist outreach.
Before founding KAHBANG Arts, Shorette worked with various nonprofits specializing in education and child development. A graduate of The University of Maine, Shorette also studied Grant Writing & Nonprofit Management at the University of Southern Maine. Outside of KAHBANG life, she is openly obsessed with pets, Post-it notes & tweets.
